# Pvt. Thomas Thompson was a soldier in the 3rd New Hampshire of Co. K
Pvt. Thompson was captured at Reames Station, Va on June 29, 1864 as a member of the 3rd NH, Co. K.
He was sent to Andersonville Military Prison at Andersonville, Ga. in July 1864.
It is not dated on the Service Record, but he enlisted in the Confederate States Army, 10th TN Infantry, Co. A (CSA) while a Prisoner of War at Andersonville Prison.
His name is listed on a 'Roll of prisoners while at Andersonville enlisted in the Confederate Army'. I do not if this roll still exists, but is printed not hand written on his service record.
Pvt. Thompson is then listed a Prisoner of War with the 10th TN, Co. A (CSA) captured at Egypt's Station, MS on Dec. 28, 18??.
He is sent to the Military Prison at Alton. IL on Jan. 17, 1865. He was processed as a POW at Nashville, TN and listed as 'Federal' in the remarks.
While in the Military Prison at Alton, IL he enlists (no date given) in the 5th U. S. Infantry, but is still listed as a POW of the 10th TN Infantry, Co. A (CSA).
That is his last recorded record.

All of these Service Records or Muster Sheets are all Confederate, not Federal.

I am still searching for Pvt. Thompson's 3rd NH Service Records and will post them when I find them.
