The 3rd New Hampshire Infantry took part in the 2nd Expedition against Ft. Fisher,
NC on Jan. 13th - 15th, 1865. They were part of Brig. Gen. Alfred Terry's Provisional Corps (XXIV Army Corps); 1st Division;
2nd Brigade, Col. Joesph C. Abbott.
